Stages of Sleep

The Human Body passes through five stages of sleep starting with light sleep and ends in REM(rapid eye movement) or deep sleep where the limb muscles becomes almost paralyzed and the eyes jerk rapidly. This is the period where dreams occur and the heart beats faster. The human body was built to sleep and though a human being can survive on less hours of sleep than is recommended but there is a reason why getting at least eight hours of sleep is crucial to the human body and in particular to a child’s body. If you are having trouble sleeping, you would have to get your condition diagnosed so the appropriate treatment can be administered.


Effects of Sleeping Disorders

Lack of sleep affects your body is so many ways, such that lack of sleepiness can affect a good nights rest. In severe cases of sleeping problems you may even require a hospital stay. The following symptoms are often present when experiencing insomnia and most other sleeping disorders.

  • Complications in falling asleep successfully
  • Issues in staying asleep throughout the night
  • Waking up and feeling as if you have not slept at all
  • Mood swings are often present

Having trouble sleeping can be a very difficult issue to deal with, but there are many ways to control it using natural methods. As long as a normal routine is established, one avoids any interruptions or factors that can make sleep difficult, and encourages sleep by relaxing the mind and listening to calm and soothing sounds. Also each sleeping disorder has different effects on the body. Some are like narcolepsy are terminal and their effect very dangerous to the human body.

Are Sleeping Disorders Curable?

The fact is that there is good news. You don't have to continue to suffer with insomnia or any other sleep problems including insomnia, sleep apnea, sleep deprivation and narcolepsy.
